Take your pick
We already have a queen sized bed for visitors but we are going to get a twin too. Since you are my visitors, what do you want? Firm or soft?
Twin is a slightly smaller version of a King right? Okay, I'll take that in the soft. And if you could add on some fancy BB&B stuff...like memory foam cushions and pillows...do visitors get to sleep with Paco?

I agree, soft is the way to go!

oh, how sad. Do I at least get a dog bed or something down there?
Well, Soft has to be better- than you can sink into the bed, unless your other visitors have back problems, than that might be a problem.
