Moving on up...

Today Alex and Kohi were moved into the upstairs 3rd story room. {yes I have a 3rd story "attic" room with 8ft ceilings but don't tell the tax man because right now he doesn't know and that means my property tax doesn't reflect the extra sq.footage!}

We decided that the boys should get to know each other better. Mostly because Alex and Kohi have constantly been getting into fights.

Alex has been use to having most of the toys be just his but with Kohi getting more and more active {much to my demise} we're finding that Alex and Kohi share similar tastes in toys thus enter "mine mine mine" with a side of wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Granted there was a premature push and urge to move them together...right now my computer sits in my craft/laundry room. With Alex upstairs, his room frees up a space for an office! Which then Jake can use to diligently work on construction plans at home if needed and lets me have more space on the crafting counter to make all sorts of weird things...

Downside is there is no closet in that room 3rd story room (what!) but upside is I get to decorate it!!!! Hurray!

The room is painted a nice creamy yellow and has Flor modular monochromatic carpet tiles in brown. So I have TWO big long walls and really just one smaller wall since the other one has a window that takes up the majority. So....This is what I'm looking at:
Bedding:
  • I LOVE this bedding and think it would be perfect for Kohi! He just reminds me of an owl. Round with big eyes staring at you blankly but mischievously planning behind the blank stare.
  • Alex has THIS already. Hello...he is my truck/car/bike boy.

Wall:
  • These adorable ABC wall cards. I may put these on the short wall but I also think they'd be cute hung along the large wall with some string and clothes pins (or something equally quirky).
  • This super cute world map for the large wall that both beds are on ...
  • I was also thinking of getting personalized "street" signs. One with Alex St. and the other Kohi Ave....
I don't really have a theme but I like the idea of motion and travel or destination. If that isn't vague enough. :) Oh well. Work in progress! But I am glad for a project especially with this crappy weather we've been having!
