Note: For some reason Blogger is only letting me upload one picture at a time. I have no patience for that. So instead, I've uploaded most to a web album and put one pic here to spark your curiosity in checking out the rest of our Saturday family outing.
All week it has been sunny (gloriously windless, cloudless kind of sunny) so we decided that we would take advantage of the weather if it held up during the weekend and go to Eska Falls. Then the morning of we discovered the trailer gone, no one we could borrow one from last minute and had to improvise. Enter the trash trailer (luckily with only a few bags of trash in it) and Joe's sister's truck. I prayed hard on the way there and back that the trash trailer wouldn't collapse with the weight of the 4-wheeler. Oh and that we wouldn't flip the 4-wheelers with the kids on it going up/down a steep rocky hill there and back from Eska Falls. :)
We had gorgeous weather the entire time. No wind, no clouds, just pure warm sunshine. Dare I say we even got a little hot??? Amazing, I know. We only got the 4-wheeler stuck 2 times (both easily pulled out) and the kids had a blast. We didn't go all the way to Eska Falls--just made it to a point that we could see it. It was getting too late in the day (with the late start figuring out how to load up 4-wheelers) and the "twins" were pretty tired. And I was hungry for something other than organic PB&J's and granola bars.
But it was an awesome adventure and a great way to end the summer!
