Iced

We got snow last night. Kinda sorta...not really. More like really thick frost in my opinion. BUT Alex was adamant that it was snow and he HAD to play in it. sigh. Have I mentioned that this California girl Does. Not. Like. Snow? Actually, edit that, I like it as in when you drive up to Lake Tahoe for the day to play in it to then return to your home 2 hours away to not have any around you at all with the temp outside at mid-50s.

So I finally gave into Alex and told him to have at it. And yes he is wearing his pjs. He was that excited about it that no amount of talk was going to convince him to take the time to change (though, let's face it, I went from one pair of pjs this morning to a different set this afternoon). Naturally, Kohi had to follow and naturally, Leila had to follow Kohi. Interestingly enough, Kohi came in first. That's right, my tough tough boy wimped out. Though I can't blame him. He splashed in frosty slush that the sun was melting near the house and got himself soaked. Alex, opted for cruising through the snow via mini-atv. Leila just watched them both with disapproval and barely ventured off the porch. That's my girl.

In unrelated tellings, I'm rediscovering my love of Cheetos and love how glow sticks can entertain my kids for hours. Cheetos + glow sticks= crazytown.

this california girl had the same problem, how come the snow didn't go away after playing in it. we would go to mamouth instead of tahoe. it took me a few years to realize that winter and snow were here to stay! i went for chocolate and art projects.
